Thank You!! Trinity Church, Thank you so much for all the thoughtful things you do for us The Evening Star Quilt Guild
Dear Friends, Just a few Sundays ago, before the first snowfall happened, Steve Nelson and his two helpers, Dylan Stricker and Ray Moyer from the church Youth Group, stopped at my house to help rake up the remaining leaves. I want to give a special THANK YOU to Steve Nelson and his two helpers. They were great! With their help we solved the leaf problem in about an hour. I could never have gotten the leaves all raked in one day without their terrific help! Many Thanks! The leaf-raking Help is a wonderful program. Polly Knoll

January Melodies of Mission to Benefit “ Mujila Falls Agriculture Center” Mujila Falls Agriculture Center actually started as the Musokatanda Agriculture project in 1995 by Paul and Roxanne Webster. Paul and Roxanne were commissioned by the United Methodist church in 1992. The Mujila falls Agriculture Center takes proverbs 14:4 seriously: “Where there are no oxen, there is no grain; abundant crops come by strength of the ox”.
It was largely by the strength of oxen that the united Methodist agriculture center had a bumper crop of corn in the last growing season. “One hundred twenty tons were harvested-planted and cultivated with one oxen, “ according to Missionary Paul Webster.
The Mujila Falls Agriculture Center is a major United Methodist investment in sustainable agriculture and vocational training for Zambia and the continent of Africa. The center primary serves the Lunda people. In addition to grain, Mujila Falls raises cattle, goats, chickens, and hogs and engages in conservation and land-management projects. Paul Webster, a native of Wisconsin, is strongly devoted to rural development.
By placing your loose coins in the offering plates during the month of January you will be supporting Mujila Falls Agriculture Center and the Lunda people through Agricultural research, training, and extension work. Help the people of Lunda go from a hunter-gathered existence agriculture. |
